Shiba Inu had a strange trading session on FameEX, an Australian crypto exchange. The token was listed there on August 11, and not long after trading opened, $SHIB jumped to $0.00001004. The move was sharp, but it quickly unwound.

A New Spot Listing on FameEX

FameEX added Shiba Inu alongside UNUS SED LEO. Spot trading for the SHIB/USDT and LEO/USDT pairs started at 10:00 UTC on August 11, 2026. The exchange also enabled deposits and withdrawals for both tokens right away. That meant users could move $SHIB in and out of the platform without waiting.

In its listing note, FameEX described Shiba Inu as a decentralized meme token launched on Ethereum in 2020. The exchange also mentioned Shibarium and ShibaSwap, plus the companion tokens LEASH and BONE. So the listing wasn’t just about SHIB itself. FameEX is registered in Parramatta, New South Wales, and has an office in Dubai.

Not long after the pair went live, the price started moving in an unusual way.

The Brief Surge

Data from FameEX shows SHIB briefly hit $0.00001004. That is a notable level because the token hasn’t traded around $0.00001 since January 5, 2026. But the spike didn’t hold. The price reversed quickly and dropped to a low of $0.00000442 on the exchange.

The reason for the spike appears to be thin liquidity. New trading pairs on smaller exchanges can see wild swings when order books are shallow. A little buying pressure can push the price far from where it trades elsewhere. This seems to be what happened here.

At the time of writing, SHIB was trading around $0.00000445 on FameEX. That represented a 55.48% decline over the past 24 hours on that exchange. Trading volume for SHIB on FameEX was $430,240. That’s not a huge number, and it helps explain how the price moved so easily.

Broader Weakness Continues

The short return to the $0.00001 range stands out because SHIB has been under pressure for a while. Over the last seven days, the token is down about 8.81%. On a 24-hour basis, it slipped another 1.13%. The broader market hasn’t been kind to meme coins, and Shiba Inu is no exception.

The token’s ranking has also slipped. SHIB had climbed to 25th in global cryptocurrency rankings recently, but it has since dropped to 30th. At press time, its market valuation sat at $2.62 billion.

That momentary jump on FameEX probably won’t change the bigger picture. It was a reminder that illiquid markets can produce odd price prints. Still, for anyone watching SHIB closely, seeing it touch $0.00001004 again, even for a few seconds, felt like a throwback to an earlier time.
