Blast, the Ethereum layer-2 network that once drew heavy attention from users, has officially ended operations. The team announced the shutdown today and said a recovery system will stay open for people who still have assets on the network. The main message is simple: check your wallet and use only official channels.
Who can use the recovery site
The recovery interface covers $ETH, WETH and USDB balances. It also includes withdrawal transactions that were started for Ethereum but never completed. According to Blast, those incomplete withdrawals are added automatically to the address’s claimable amount. Users can query their wallet address to see what they are eligible to retrieve. Claims are handled through smart contracts on Ethereum mainnet.
Blast Mobile needs a different step
Blast Mobile users face a separate process. The team said the mobile wallet does not exist on Ethereum with the same address. Users need to move the wallet to a compatible application before recovery. That detail matters because a normal mainnet claim may not work for those users. Blast asked people to rely only on official channels during the process, a reasonable warning given the number of fake recovery pages that tend to appear after a shutdown.
Deadline and final support date
The recovery site’s final support date is November 4, 2027. Blast described the window as a 12-month period for users to access balances after the network closes. The exact timing may confuse some holders, so checking the official site early is the safer move. Waiting until the last weeks could create unnecessary problems, especially for mobile wallet users who still need to migrate.
For now, the task for remaining users is straightforward. Check the official recovery page, search the wallet address, and confirm which assets appear. Do not send funds or share private keys with anyone who contacts you about the shutdown. Blast’s notice does not promise a rescue for every case, but it does give holders a defined path to claim what the network still recognizes.
